While schedules vary, most full-time staff work eight-hour shifts focused on supporting community literacy and access to information.
A typical day may start with shelving materials, preparing public computer areas, setting up programming spaces, and organizing the resources offered to the community.

When the doors open, it’s off to the service desk! The staff on duty respond to a steady flow of inquiries from citizens seeking circulation services, research help, technology assistance, and so much more. Whether it's a student seeking a book for a class assignment or a local entrepreneur looking to reserve a room for an important meeting, staff help the public find what they need to prosper.
