Seed Library

The Seed Library Program was launched in February 2015 and is a collaborative effort between the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library System and UF/IFAS Leon County Extension. The Seed Library Program promotes fruit, vegetable, and herb seed planting in Leon County and encourages residents to grow their own nutritious food.

Save the date for the Spring Seed Library Kickoff on Saturday, February 6, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Leon County Main Library. Pick up free seasonal seed packets and enjoy hands-on activities, gardening information and more to help you get ready for spring planting.

More information about the Spring Seed Library, including available seed varieties and kickoff activities, will be announced closer to the event.
