Library Pick-up Locker
Materials can be picked up at the locker starting Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
The Leon County Public Library pick-up locker provides a convenient self-service location for library card holders to pick up certain library materials. Books, DVDs, audiobooks, music CDs, and Launchpads may be reserved and retrieved from the locker.
The pick-up locker and book drop are located at the Miccosukee Community Center, 15011 Cromartie Road.
Follow these simple steps to place and pick up holds at the locker:
- Place your hold using the library’s online catalog and choose MICCOSUKEE as your pickup location.
- Wait for notification via email that your holds are ready for pick up.
- Head to the locker to pick up your holds.
- At the locker, tap on the Hold(s) Pickup option on the screen.
- Scan your library card with the barcode directly facing the scanner or type in your barcode on the touchscreen using Enter Account Number and following the prompts.
- Select your holds by highlighting the checkboxes on the screen or tap Select All.
- Tap Done in the bottom right corner of the screen. The locker door will automatically open.
- Retrieve your items and close the locker door. Items in the locker will automatically check out to the library account once the locker door opens.
- Choose Email Receipt or No Receipt on the screen.
Materials can be returned to the book drop next to the pick-up locker or at any library location.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I place a hold over the phone?
Yes, holds can be placed over the phone by calling any library location during open hours and requesting assistance from a staff member.
How long do I have to pick up my holds?
Holds are available for seven days from the date of the notification to pick up a hold. Holds that are not picked up within seven days will expire.
What items can be picked up from the locker?
Books, DVDs, audiobooks, music CDs, and Launchpads may be reserved and retrieved from the locker. To checkout other items from the library’s collection, please select a physical library location as the pick-up location when placing holds.
Can I pick up InterLibrary Loans (ILLs) from the locker?
Due to varying due dates given by the lending library, ILLs cannot be picked up at the locker. ILL materials can be picked up from any physical library location.
Can I use the locker if my card has fines or lost items on it?
If you have $10 or more in fines and/or fees on your library account, you will not be able to retrieve your holds from the locker. Please pay fines and fees online before retrieving items from the locker.
Can I use the locker if I don’t have my library card with me?
Yes, scan the library card barcode from the library’s app on your mobile device. You will also be able to manually enter a card number using the keyboard on the screen.
Are paper receipts available at the locker?
Paper receipts are not available at the locker. You can choose to have a receipt emailed to you by choosing the Email Receipt option on the checkout screen. You must have an email address associated with your library account to receive a receipt.
What if I’m having trouble getting my items out of a locker?
