Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month when we celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in history, culture, and society.

Designated in 1987 by the U.S. Congress, Women's History Month recognizes how "American women of every race, class, and ethnic background have made historical contributions to the growth and strength of the Nation in countless recorded and unrecorded ways."

Throughout the month and all year long, learn something new about the women and events that shaped history through our library resources.
