Leon County will host a community meeting to present the draft Woodville Sense of Place Plan and gather final feedback from residents and stakeholders. The meeting will take place on Thursday, March 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Woodville Community Center, 8000 Old Woodville Rd. The meeting is open to the public and will be facilitated by the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department.
Over the past several months, Planning staff have engaged with Woodville residents and business owners to help shape the plan. Community outreach efforts included a public survey that received 130 responses, providing valuable input on priorities, opportunities, and recommendations for the Woodville area.
The upcoming meeting will provide community members an opportunity to review the draft plan, learn about the proposed recommendations, and share any final comments. Feedback received at the meeting will help inform the final version of the plan before it is brought forward for consideration by the Leon County Board of County Commissioners.
At the January 27, 2025, Retreat, the Leon County Board of County Commissioners approved adding several new initiatives to the 2022–2026 Strategic Plan, including the development of the Woodville Sense of Place Plan to evaluate land uses and guide future improvements in the Woodville area. The Board ratified these initiatives at its February 11, 2025, meeting.
