You must report to 501 Appleyard Drive for registration
Community Service may be ordered as a condition of County Probation. Community Service involves performing court-ordered volunteer work at a non-profit agency. Your Leon County Probation Officer will assign you to an appropriate Community Service agency after the $30 insurance fee has been paid. You will then be given a “Volunteer Report Form” that will provide the necessary information regarding your assigned agency. Once Community Service hours have been completed, the “Volunteer Report Form” must be turned in to the Probation office. The hours completed will be verified by the Community Service Coordinator. Hours of availability are contingent upon each agency’s business hours.
Leon County Work Program is operated by Leon County Public Works Department; they are responsible for supervising all clients ordered to complete county work program days. You may be ordered to complete work program days as a condition of probation or through the State Attorney's Diversion Program. The county work program consists of 10 hours of manual labor with a Leon County "work crew". You must report by 7:00 a.m. for the work program and work the entire 10-hour work day in order to get credit. The $30 fee is mandatory prior to signing up. If you are on probation, your officer will provide you with the "rules" for the work program and other necessary information. If you are required to complete work program day(s) as a condition of diversion you will be provided the rule sheet at the orientation session. The days/times to sign up are as follows:
