CONTRACTORS Online Applications packet information

The Contractors Online Permit process is ONLY for Licensed Florida Contractors and is meant for simple projects that DO NOT need plans and plan review.

If the CONTRACTORS Online Permit is used to submit a permit for one of the following:

  1. Plan review;
  2. A project that requires multiple trades;
  3. One portion of an electrical generator permit; and/or,
  4. A permit that should have been listed as a LB permit;
the permit will be voided, and the permit fee will not be refunded.
 
The following permit applications are the only ones that can be submitting using the CONTRACTORS Online Application process:
  • Electrical upgrades
  • Re-roofs
  • HVAC change out
  • Windows and Doors
  • Water heaters
  • Vinyl siding
  • Pool liners
  • Installation of one (1) Gas appliance – No other gas appliances can exist.

    This would include the following:
    1. Parcel Identification
    2. Legal access to the property
    3. Scope of Work that is clear and concise covering all work to be done
    4. Contractor address, name, number and email address

Inspections and Inspections Codes for this permit:

The FBC requirements include a wind analysis of the host structure prepared by a Florida Register Engineer. This document is required to ensure that the panels have been attached properly and can withstand hurricane force winds up to 120 mph.

Shed Permitting Information Packet

  • Shed Inspections Codes
    A shed must not be used as shops, wood working, garages, sewing spaces, and similar types of occupied activity. These types of uses in a structures considered as accessory structures.

    The appropriate applications mentioned above, this project would require construction plans that contain:
    • Plans drawn to a minimum ¼ inch scale;
    • Site plan;
    • Foundation plan;
    • Floor framing plan;
    • Elevation of each side;
    • Truss layout /Roof framing plan;
    • Wall section;
    • If there are beam(s) provide sizes and locations on the plans; and,
    • Electrical if applicable.
    • The design plans would only contain the type of plan sheets applicable to the project.

Pool Permitting Information Packet

Pool Permitting Information Packet for inground and above ground pools, as well as screened in pool covers, along with safety barrier protection.

  • Pool Inspections Codes
    A pool must have the site plan include the fencing illustrated on the site plan. If the home or other structure is part of the protection barrier of the pool any openings (windows and doors) are to have pool alarms installed. Please provide the type of alarm. The appropriate applications mentioned above, this project would require construction plans drawn to a minimum ¼ inch scale must include the pool foundation, elevation, roof framing if applicable, electrical, and bonding on the plans. The design plans would only contain the type of plan sheets applicable to the project.
