Community Outreach Programs

Adults

Leon County Mosquito Control believes an educated citizenry is the best answer to controlling disease-carrying mosquitoes in the community.

To fulfill that goal, Mosquito Control had developed printed materials and live presentations to inform all residents about its programs and services.

A representative from Mosquito Control is available to speak to homeowner and neighborhood associations, civic organizations and interest groups such as garden clubs, about where mosquitoes are found, how to reduce their breeding sites and what to do if mosquitoes are a problem.   Programs are free and available by request.

A community outreach representative is available to arrange or appear for media interviews.  Media releases and informative articles are generated as appropriate throughout the year.

General interest articles for newsletter and bulletins are available through Mosquito Control.

To request a outreach services, please email: Community Education Coordinator Aaron Ford
