Live Well Leon offers a variety of wellness resources and incentives to help you remain a healthy member of our vibrant community. We aim to support Leon County employees in their efforts to create a healthy lifestyle in the following areas: Community, Physical, Career, Financial, and Social.

Join Live Well Leon (LWL) for the 2023 Leon County Benefits and Well-Being Fair on Wednesday, October 18th, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Augustus B. Turnbull Conference Center, 555 Pensacola Street.

This year’s theme is “Nourish to Flourish!” and is a reminder that if you want to improve/support/maintain your well-being you have to nurture it.   LWL is excited to bring over 50 vendors to this year’s Fair to help you find the resources you need to do just that! The vendors will represent all the areas of well-being that LWL encourages you to improve: Physical, Career, Financial, Community and Social.

Leon County also wants to show its appreciation to its staff by making this a fun day filled with games to play, a photo booth to take pictures with co-workers and friends, and an Affirmation Board to help you focus on a particular area of Emotional Well-Being that you want to work on over this next year. You will have the opportunity to enhance your Social Well-Being by meeting co-workers from other areas of the County you may not know.

You can also get a Flu, Shingles or Pneumonia shot at no cost to help you stay healthy over the fall and winter. The Big Red Bus will be there for you to enhance your Community Well-Being by donating blood.

And of course, we plan to feed you while you are there!

Register for the 2023 Benefits and Well-Being Fair

The deadline to complete the My Rewards Program and qualify for a discount on your 2024 health insurance premium contribution is Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

The My Rewards Program is an incentive-based wellness program designed to help County staff participate in healthy lifestyle behaviors. Employees who successfully complete the My Rewards Program each calendar year will receive a 2.5% discount off their annual health insurance premium contribution for the following year.

You can submit the completion of your well-being tasks online on the Leon County Live Well Leon website, or print My Rewards off the site, check off your tasks and Interoffice it to Mary Barley in HR or email to her at barleym@leoncountyfl.gov.

The annual Leon County Benefits and Well-Being Fair is not only a time for employees to gain valuable information and resources about your benefits and well-being. But it is also one of the times Leon County gets to the opportunity to show their employees how much we appreciate and care about you all! So, we use this vital time gather everyone to share a meal, have some fun and maybe even win so great gifts; all while enhancing your Social Well-being through meeting or catching up with other County coworkers from every department!!

So, we plan to have plenty for activities for everyone to participate in, including:

• A photobooth to capture fun times with your co-workers!
   
• An Affirmation Vision Board designed to empower and inspire your Emotional Well-being journey!
   
• Musical Chairs at 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00.
   
• Hula Hoop contests at 8:30., 10:30 and 12:30.
   
• Checkers, that can be played anytime.
   
• Corn Hole that can be played anytime.
