The purpose of these notices is to keep the community informed regarding proposed land development activities in the county in order to encourage public involvement in the land development process. Meeting notices are also published in a general circulation newspaper (Tallahassee Democrat) and through direct mail notifications, in accordance with the public noticing requirements outlined in the Leon County Land Development Code.

Legal Notice of Appeals: Please be advised that if a person decides to appeal any decision made by Leon County with respect to any matter considered at a Type “A,” Development Review Committee (DRC) or Board of Adjustment and Appeals (BOAA) Meeting, such person will need a record of these proceedings, and for this purpose such person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record indicates the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
