To build partnerships and administer programs that preserve and grow the inventory of safe and sanitary affordable housing in Leon County.
The Division's major programs are income driven and include owner-occupied rehabilitation, home buyer counseling, down-payment assistance, and emergency home repairs. Most of our programs are funded through the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program and the Housing Finance Authority of Leon County. FY 2026 State Housing Initiatives Partnership Notice of Funding Availability
The State of Florida has allocated Leon County $698,493 in State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funding for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. SHIP funds will be available via deferred payment, forgivable, noninterest-bearing loans.

FY 2026 Local Government Support for Gap Financing for Multifamily Developers Seeking Florida Housing Finance Corporation Funding
The Housing Finance Authority of Leon County announces the availability of funds and is requesting applications for the consideration of providing local government support through Leon County Government for gap financing or other local government funding contributions to qualified multifamily housing developments that are seeking funding through the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) and set aside units for very low and/or extremely low-income households.
