Mobile Home Emergency Repairs
Online applications for the Mobile Home Emergency Repair Program will be accepted beginning at 10 a.m. on December 4, 2024, and will be accepted until sufficient applications have been received to expend available funding. Applications will be reviewed based on program guidelines, and eligible projects may begin thereafter.
The Mobile Home Emergency Repair program assists low-income Leon County mobile homeowner-occupants who need repairs related to immediate health hazards and/or to eliminate a developing threat to the dwelling or its infrastructure that needs to be mitigated immediately. Typically, projects are funded as grant assistance. However, more costly repairs may require a deferred payment, forgivable, noninterest-bearing loan.
Emergency Home Repairs most often include a damaged/leaking roof, damaged windows causing exposure to the elements, electrical, plumbing, or septic problems that could cause damage to the home, or to remediate an immediate health hazard to the occupants.
