Message from Library Director Pamela Monroe

Hi Friends,

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! This year, we’re lacing up our running shoes in support of the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Tallahassee 26 event coming to Leon County on January 10, 2026. To celebrate, the library is excited to introduce a special edition WXC Tallahassee 26 library card—a collectible design that highlights how your library connects people and ideas across every distance.

If you don’t have a card yet, now is the perfect time to sign up. Already a cardholder? Encourage your friends and family to join the library community and take advantage of everything their card has to offer.

Your library card is more than just a key to books—it opens the door to endless opportunities. With it, you can stream movies and music, download eBooks and audiobooks, access online learning tools, explore local history resources, and check out everything from tools to hotspots. Families can learn a new language with Mango Languages, students can get free homework help with Brainfuse, and adults can browse more than 7,000 digital newspapers and magazines in PressReader.

Stop by this September to get your special edition library card and unlock all the fun, learning, and discovery waiting for you.

Amazing things are happening!
Pamela Monroe, Library Director
