Message from Library Director Pamela Monroe
November is National Gratitude Month, and I’d like to start by thanking you. Thank you to everyone who visited the library in person this year to attend a program or access resources, and thank you to all of you who stay connected to us virtually by using our digital resources or following us on Facebook and Instagram.
Thank you for exploring and using the new spaces at the Main Library. Whether you need a quiet spot to study, a place to meet with your book club, or a room for your next committee gathering, we’ve got you covered. Use your library card to reserve a room and enjoy one of our 15 meeting and gathering spaces.
And while I’m expressing gratitude, a big thank-you goes to the Friends of the Library! Their support made it possible to open our new Sound Booth, where you can record a podcast, preserve your family stories, or create an audiobook. The booth fits up to four people and includes Audacity editing software.
This month, stop by any library location and add a leaf to our “Leaves of Thanks” tree. It’s a simple way to share what you’re thankful for and to see how much appreciation grows within our community.
We’re thankful for you—today and every day. See you at the library!
Amazing things are happening!
Pamela Monroe, Library Director
