County Invites Families to Youth Employment Information Sessions

 
WHO:  Leon County Government, City of Tallahassee, CareerSource Capital Region, Children’s Services Council of Leon County, and United Way of the Big Bend
WHAT:  Community Youth Employment Programs Information Sessions
WHEN:  Thursday, March 20, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Tuesday, April 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 3, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

In its ongoing commitment to fostering talent and creating a robust future workforce, Leon County Government invites families to Community Youth Employment Programs Information Sessions focused on year-round youth employment programs available in the community for youth ages 14 to 24.

The information sessions will take place on the following dates:
  • Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Woodville Community Center, 8000 Old Woodville Road
  • Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at FAMU DRS, 400 West Orange Avenue
  • Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Center, 438 West Brevard Street
  • Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Shady Grove #1 Primitive Baptist Church, 1478 Chaires Cross Road
Held in collaboration with the City of Tallahassee, CareerSource Capital Region, Children’s Services Council of Leon County, and United Way of the Big Bend, these events will include important deadlines for applying to local programs and information on how to access valuable community resources.

These information sessions advance Leon County’s strategic initiative of promoting opportunities for youth training and development through innovative programs, including the Leon Works Junior Apprenticeship Program, the Summer Youth Training Program, and programs and services that boost youth workforce readiness at Leon County Public Library locations throughout the year.
