Operations Division

Mission

To provide for the safety and convenience of the public by constructing, maintaining, beautifying, and protecting our infrastructure, to include transportation maintenance, stormwater maintenance, right-of-way maintenance, and mosquito control services.

This is accomplished through cost effective, environmentally sensitive and aesthetically pleasing products and services.

Right of Way

• Canopy Roads Management
• Reviewing tree removal requests
• Pruning and removal of high risk trees and invasive exotic plants
• Roadside Beautification Program including the planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers
• Adopt-A-Road Program
• Litter control and roadside mowing
• Responding to public concerns and requests by investigating complaints, and  accomplishing needed improvements

Transportation

• Asphalt repairs
• Private Road Preventative Maintenance and Repair Program
• Rural Road Stabilization Program
• Maintenance of County maintained dirt roads
• Street sign fabrication, installation, and maintenance of pavement markings
• Data collection for traffic studies
• Responding to public concerns and requests by investigating complaints, and accomplishing needed improvements

Stormwater

• Maintaining and retrofitting open and enclosed drainage systems along county rights-of-way and easements
• Providing for water quality and rate control
• Protecting against injury and loss associated with stormwater runoff
• Responding to public concerns and requests by investigating complaints, and accomplishing needed improvements
• Maintaining and repairing road shoulders
