Greenway Uses

IMG_4481637237710835496764

Leon County Parks and Recreation is committed to helping you make it through this difficult time which is why our beautiful greenways and parks remain open.  We need your help, however, to ensure that all users have an enjoyable, safe experience and that the Greenways remain the conservation areas they are intended to be.  With many more of our neighbors getting out into nature, now is a good time to remind all about the dos and don’ts for Greenway usage:

Birdwatching, bicycling, hiking/running, horseback riding, picnicking, meditation, and wildlife observation are all allowable uses for enjoying ALL of our Greenway spaces.

Prohibited activities are dogs off leash, motorized vehicles (including motorcycles and golf carts), model rockets, remote control airplanes or vehicles, golfing, archery, and hunting.

Animal Control and law enforcement are engaged in helping us ensure these simple rules are followed by all for everyone’s safety and are conducting patrols.

Thank you for complying!
