Consistent with Florida State Parks, all County campgrounds will reopen starting Saturday, August 15th at 8 a.m. The following COVID-19 rules will apply to campgrounds until further notice:

  • Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance and paid on-line with a VISA/MC debit or credit card. NO walk-ins will be accepted.
  • No group camping or special events like Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts; family units/individuals only.  This is consistent with limits on special events.
  • Only one person allowed in restroom building at a time, one per men and women's restroom. This limit applies to whether the individual is using the restroom or the shower.
  • Picnic pavilions remain closed
  • Face masks required in the common facilities
  • Some individual camp sites may be “closed” to accommodate social distancing between individual camp sites

All County passive parks and trails remain open to the public. We appreciate your patience during this time and look forward to opening reservations again once the facilities re-open. For any questions, please call Leon County Parks and Recreation at (850) 606-1470.

All campgrounds are located off Highway 20 on Lake Talquin.
