Leon County Senior Outreach

Leon County Senior Outreach, funded by the Leon County Commission, is a program of the Tallahassee Senior Foundation that helps seniors remain in their own communities and live independent, healthy and engaged lives. By bringing a variety of resources, activities and opportunities to the rural areas of our community, seniors are able to access services in the areas where they live. Programs have been established in the communities of Bradfordville, Chaires-Capitola, Fort Braden, Lake Jackson, Miccosukee and Woodville.

The following are some of the activities and services the Leon County Senior Outreach program offers:

Lunch & Learns (L&L) events feature an array of exciting and interesting speakers, informative exhibits, an abundance of resources and a delicious, catered lunch. Held monthly, it is a great way to access a variety of community services, health screenings, presentations and information specifically selected to benefit seniors. The best part: fun and fellowship! Reservations appreciated. Suggested $7 donation.

Sandie Renfroe & Lori Hunter
