             Leon County Adopt-A-Tree Program

For more than 30 years, Leon County Government has proudly supported our native ecosystem through the Adopt-A-Tree Program, which provides unincorporated County residents the opportunity to have a tree planted on their property for free. This year, the program will offer three tree varieties to choose from: Eastern Redbud, Riverbirch, and Shumard Oak.

County Supports Family Legacies with Land Use Policies
Considering subdividing your property for family heirs? Leon County offers specific policies that make it easier to create family heir subdivisions, allowing you to pass down property to direct relatives for homestead use, even if density rules would normally prevent it.
For more information on Land Use Policy 2.1.9 Family Heir Subdivisions, contact the Leon County Development Services Division at 850-606-1300 or visit their website at LeonCountyFL.gov/DSEM.
