Temporary Road Closure of Old Bainbridge Road between Fred George Road and Talpeco Road
Beginning Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 9 a.m., there will be a temporary road closure of Old Bainbridge Road between Fred George Road and Talpeco Road through late June 2026. This closure is part of the City of Tallahassee Water Main Replacement Project, extending from Tharpe Street to Ashby Hill Road.
Northbound traffic will be detoured east onto Talpeco Road then north onto North Monroe Street then west onto Fred George Road to Old Bainbridge Road. Southbound traffic on Old Bainbridge Road will be detoured east onto Fred George Road then south onto North Monroe Street then west onto Talpeco Road to Old Bainbridge Road.
Weather conditions such as heavy rain, severe stormsand extreme heat, as well as unforeseen issues such as supply chain backups, can affect construction schedules.
