Leon County, in partnership with the Tallahassee-Leon County Office of Economic Vitality, is pleased to announce that exhibitor registration is now open for the 10th annual Leon Works Expo. This exciting event, taking place on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, offers employers the chance to showcase their company to students soon entering the workforce. Businesses are encouraged to register by April 11, 2025, at LeonCountyFL.gov/LeonWorks.
Â
The Leon Works Expo connects hundreds of high school students from the Big Bend region with local employers, offering a unique opportunity to explore careers in various fields including trade, business and information technology, healthcare, and creative arts. Students will network with professionals, learn about career pathways with hands-on exhibits, and discover rewarding job opportunities in their community.
Â
Leon County Government and the Tallahassee-Leon County Office of Economic Vitality (OEV) are committed to connecting students and businesses, allowing for valuable networking and educational opportunities. Since its inception in 2015, Leon Works has focused on educating high school students about high-demand career paths that offer competitive wages, requiring only a high school diploma or a certification beyond high school. By 2032, more than 38,000 jobs that require more than a high school diploma, but less than a four-year college degree with average wages over $22 per hour will be available in Leon County and the surrounding region.
Â
Businesses interested in showcasing their career opportunities and engaging with the next generation of workers can register now at LeonCountyFL.gov/LeonWorks. The registration deadline is April 11, 2025.
