February 2024

Message from Library Director Pamela Monroe

Hi Friends,

Library Lovers Month, observed annually in February, is a special time dedicated to celebrating these cherished institutions and the individuals who deeply appreciate them. It's a moment to shine a light on the vital role libraries play as invaluable community resources.

Library lovers, including avid readers, researchers, students, and enthusiasts, unite during this month to express their admiration for these spaces that foster learning, provide access to a vast array of knowledge, and serve as hubs for cultural exchange. Let's take a moment to recognize the dedicated librarians who curate collections, assist patrons, and create an inclusive environment for all.

Whether through engaging programs, book clubs, or community outreach programs, Library Lovers Month encourages everyone to embrace their love for libraries and celebrate the enduring significance of these intellectual sanctuaries. The next time you visit your library, consider expressing your appreciation to the staff for their hard work – it means a lot to them!

Amazing things are happening,
Pamela Monroe, Library Director
