This family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, September 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Leon County Miccosukee Community Center, 15011 Cromartie Road.
Free and open to the public, this event will celebrate the Miccosukee community and include food, music, games, and activities for all ages. Attendees will also have a chance to take part in an open house of the newly renovated Miccosukee Community Center.
During the event, Leon County will recognize the Miccosukee Citizens Working Group at 12 p.m. for their dedication to shaping the future of Miccosukee. Appointed in 2018, the Working Group was tasked with the further development of the Miccosukee Rural Community Sense of Place Plan objectives and providing input to staff on the implementation and prioritization of funding priorities.
