County Hosts Second Master Recycler Seminar

Leon County Government invites residents to participate in the second free, interactive Master Recycler training on Saturday, August 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Leon County Main Library, 200 W Park Ave. This engaging recycling seminar hosted by the Leon County Office of Sustainability will provide attendees with insight on local recycling best practices and waste reduction solutions. Lunch will be provided. Register for this free seminar at LeonCountyFL.gov/MasterRecycler. Space is limited.
During the training, participants will engage in hands-on learning activities while connecting with fellow community members. The program will include three sessions:
- Waste Reduction Strategies
- Understanding Leon County Waste Systems
- How to Avoid “Wish-cycling”
Upon completion of the training, each participant will receive a personalized Master Recycler Certificate as well as resources to guide local recycling and sustainability efforts. The training will conclude with a Q&A session with local Sustainability professionals. Those who have already received a Master Recycler certificate should not register for this training, as space is limited.
The Master Recycler Program empowers Leon County residents to reduce waste, recycle effectively, and become leaders in their community. Through hands-on learning and local insights, participants will gain the skills and knowledge to guide others in creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable community.
