Leon County and CONA Announce 44th Annual Neighborhood Recognition Program
Leon County Government’s Neighborhood Recognition Program celebrates the vibrant neighborhoods and dedicated community leaders that call Leon County home. Awarded annually in partnership with the Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA), the program recognizes neighborhoods and neighbors who have gone above and beyond in the last year to help make our community a better place to live, work, and play.
This year, applications are accepted in the following categories:
- Small Neighborhood of the Year - Neighborhoods with 200 homes or fewer
- Large Neighborhood of the Year - Neighborhoods with more than 200 homes
- Unincorporated Neighborhood of the Year - Neighborhoods outside city limits (Leon County unincorporated)
- Neighbor of the Year - Recognizing residents who lend a helping hand in service to their neighbors and neighborhood
Apply now for the 2025 Neighborhood of the Year Recognition Program
Recipients of the Neighborhood of the Year award will receive an award sign and sign blade to display at their neighborhood's entrance. Previous recipients will receive a sign blade to add to their award sign. The Neighbor of the Year award recipient will receive a plaque recognizing their service to the community.
The 44th Annual Neighborhood Recognition Program application deadline is Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 5 p.m. EST.
