Hazardous Materials Awards

2017

   Hometown Hero Award for exceptional service by members of the host chapter  in planning and running the national workshop, by the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association.
   Haz-Waste Olympics Gold Medal Medal for skill in common hazardous material handling set in a competitive framework by the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association.
    Golden Bung, recognizing acceptance and handling of dangerous or unusual materials, by the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association.

   National Association of Counties Achievement Award for the Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Program
   President's Award given for outstanding service to the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association 
   Golden Bung, recognizing acceptance and handling of dangerous or unusual materials, by the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association. 
  President's Award given for outstanding service to the Florida Chapter of the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association 
   Believe It Or Not, recognizing the most unusual item or dangerous received by a household hazardous waste facility for carbon tetrachloride hanging glass globe fire extinguisher by the Florida Chapter of the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association. 
   Leon County's internal I2 Award for Inspirational or Innovative programs that support the core values and practices of Leon LEADS.

   Longstanding Program Excellence Award for programs with more than 20 years of exemplary service, by the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association.
   Haz-Waste Olympics Bronze Medal Medal for skill in common hazardous material handling set in a competitive framework by the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association.
  Golden Bung, recognizing acceptance and handling of dangerous or unusual materials, by the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association.

 Pickled Skunk Brains, recognizing the most unusual item received by a household hazardous waste facility for a container of Paris Green insecticide (Copper II acetoarsenite) from the early 20th century by the Florida Chapter of the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association.
 
 Haz-Waste Olympics Silver Medal for skill in common hazardous material handling set in a competitive framework by the Florida Chapter of the North American Hazardous Materials Management Association.
