Nationally Recognized Leon County Division Offers Volunteer Certification Program
With community partners throughout the Big Bend region, Leon County Government began training on the principles of successful volunteer management in 2004. Since that time, over 200 graduates have been taught how to review new trends in volunteer management, target recruit volunteers with particular skills, review best practices in volunteer supervision, and more. In Leon County Government, we know that our nonprofit partners are on the frontlines serving community members in need, and volunteers help build capacity when needs for services go up.
To this end, VolunteerLEON, a division of Leon County Government, announces its 11th year of low-cost training in volunteer management. This training is for anyone who works with volunteers. Whether in a leadership role as part of an association, or a salaried professional volunteer manager who works with volunteers all day, this training will increase the capacity of your organization. Local experts will teach you how to engage volunteers and leverage volunteer skills to better realize the mission of your organization. Register today to unlock the potential in your program!
