Leon County Special Operations provides medical coverage at large scale special events such as FSU Football Games, Celebrate America at Tom Brown Park, and the seasonal parades downtown.
It is also the mission of Leon County EMS Special Operations Unit to provide advanced Mass Casualty Incident Management and Medical Care Capabilities to victims of natural or man made disasters.
To this endeavor, Leon County Special Operations Unit members pledge to the citizens of Leon County and The State of Florida to provide efficient and effective medical care and emergency management skills and technologies in a planned and measured response.
The members of Leon County EMS Special Operations Unit further pledge to conduct all EMS Management
and Medical Care operations in a professional, ethical and understanding manner to protect the dignity of any victims and the local response communities we may serve during such missions.
The members of Leon County EMS Special Operations Unit shall endeavor to maintain their skills and abilities in providing medical care, Multi Casualty Incident management and training commensurate to any missions that may be established now or in the future requiring deployments to natural or man made disasters with displaced or injured victims. Or Hazardous Materials Incidents with injured victims of weapons of Mass Destruction, or such other incidents that are beyond the capabilities of local emergency services.
