Community Outreach

   

Outreach Services 

 

  • Free transportation of animals belonging to victims fleeing domestic violence to local veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, or temporary foster homes 24-hours a day.

  • "Safety Begins Before the Bite" animal bite prevention program in area elementary schools.

  • Humane education program for children.

  • Participation in public programs conducted by other animal-related organizations, such as dog and cat clubs.

  • State-designated agency for the coordination of the local Animal Disaster Relief and Recovery Plan.

  • Assist pet owners locate pet shelters during declared disasters.

    Below are links to some of our local community organizations that work closely with Leon County Animal Control.  If you are looking to rehome a pet, get a voucher to get your pet spayed or neutered, etc... one of these organizations may be able to assist.
