Outreach Services

The following community outreach initiatives are designed to enhance the well-being of both pets and people through a variety of impactful programs. For more information on these programs and services, contact Animal Control at 850-606-5400.

• Free transportation of animals belonging to victims fleeing domestic violence to local veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, or temporary foster homes 24-hours a day.
• "Safety Begins Before the Bite" animal bite prevention program in area elementary schools.
• Humane education program for children.
• Participation in public programs conducted by other animal-related organizations, such as dog and cat clubs.
• State-designated agency for the coordination of the local Animal Disaster Relief and Recovery Plan.
• Assist pet owners locate pet shelters during declared disasters.
