DISCover Something New at Jackson View Park!

Leon County Government celebrated two new recreational amenities at Jackson View Park with the opening of the County’s first disc golf course and an enhanced playground. The celebration featured remarks from County leaders, staff and a representative from the Tallahassee Disc Golf Association. Following the ribbon-cutting and ceremonial first throw, attendees had the opportunity to experience the new disc golf course, enjoy the upgraded playground and celebrate these enhancements to a beloved community park.

The County’s first disc golf course at Jackson View Park features:

• Nine holes spanning more than 2,100 feet across nearly nine acres.
• Obstacles designed for players of all skill levels.
• Recreation opportunities focused on accuracy, strategy and thoughtful shot selection.

The new Jackson View Park playground, designed for children ages 2-12, will feature upgraded safety surfacing and an ADA-accessible swing, with a shade sail to be installed soon.

Beyond the new disc golf course and playground, Jackson View Park now features a parking area closer to the playground, new benches, tables and water-filling stations. This celebration highlighted Leon County’s continued efforts to enhance public spaces and provide recreational opportunities for residents of all ages and abilities.
