Temporary Road Closure of Shelfer Road at Ayers Court
The temporary closure of Shelfer Road at Ayers Court, originally scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 7, was postponed due to Hurricane Isaias and has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of a sewer bypass.
Southbound traffic on Shelfer Road will be detoured east onto Ross Road, then south onto Woodville Highway, then west onto Crossway Road to Shelfer Road. Northbound traffic on Shelfer Road will be detoured west onto Crossway Road, then north onto Crawfordville Road, then east onto Ross Road to Shelfer Road.
Weather conditions such as heavy rain, severe storms, extreme heat, and freezing temperatures can affect construction schedules on County projects.
