Update on Severe Weather

Leon County Government and the City of Tallahassee continue to actively monitor the current weather situation. A severe weather system is reaching the area. The main threat from the system is high winds with possible hazards of downed trees and power outages. The storm front will arrive at approximately 3 a.m. and last about one hour.

Due to the weather event, StarMetro and its Dial-A-Ride services will be suspended until 8 a.m. Trousdell Aquatics Center and Wade Wehunt Pool will not have early morning hours and will open to the public at 11:30 a.m.

In the event of a power outage, reports can be submitted via 891-4YOU (4968), Talgov.com/Outages or the DigiTally mobile app. Customers can access a map of current outages on both the website and the app. All outage reports received by phone or online are automatically routed to the electric outage management system, which helps quickly assign and dispatch work crews at all hours.

You can monitor local weather conditions by visiting the NWS-Tallahassee Weather Forecast office website at weather.gov/tallahassee.

For timely updates, visit Leon County's Emergency Information Portal at www.LeonCountyFL.gov/EIP or Talgov.com. The City will also be posting updates on its COTNews and COTTraffic Twitter accounts.
