The Florida High School Athletic Association Football State Championships Return to Leon County at Gene Cox Stadium

Media check-in starting at 5 p.m.

Media preregistration required to obtain credentials by Monday, Dec. 6, 2021 at 5 p.m.

This week, six high school football teams from across the state will return to Leon County to compete at Gene Cox Stadium in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) 1A, 2A and 3A Football State Championships.

Hosted by the Leon County Division of Tourism (Visit Tallahassee) and Leon County Schools, this year's event is expected to draw more than 4,100 athletes, coaches and spectators to Leon County resulting in an estimated $450,000 in direct visitor spending. All media partners who attend will be given special access to the field and award presentations.

Media representatives must obtain credentials for the event by completing and submitting the Credential Request Form by Monday,  Dec. 6 at 5 p.m.  Click here to access the form. Walk-up requests on the day of the event will not be considered. Registered media can pick up their credentials at the press tent. A picture ID and a valid media ID (provided by the representative outlet) are required. Freelancers must provide a short validation letter from the outlet's sports editor, printed on outlet stationery along with a valid media ID. Friday, Dec. 10, 7 p.m. Berkeley Prep (Tampa) vs. Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood)
Saturday, Dec. 11, 7 p.m. Madison County (Madison) vs. Hawthorne

Advanced purchase tickets are $14 per game and can be purchased HERE. Parking is included in ticket price. Tickets are available the day of the event for $17 and must be purchased through GoFan Link. No cash will be accepted on site.
