Temporary Road Closure of Natural Bridge Road at the Natural Bridge Battlefield Historic State Park
Beginning on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 9 a.m. and ending on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 5 p.m., there will be a temporary road closure of Natural Bridge Road at the Natural Bridge Battlefield Historic State Park. This closure is for the Annual Reenactment of the Battle of Natural Bridge.
Alternative routes are available and through‑traffic may be allowed on Saturday, March 7. Eastbound traffic can travel north on Old Plank Road, east on Tram Road, south on Gamble Road, southwest on State Road 59, west on Fanlew Road, and then west on Natural Bridge Road.
Weather conditions such as heavy rain, severe storms, extreme heat, and freezing temperatures can affect construction schedules on County projects. Unforeseen site conditions, utility conflicts, or supply chain issues may also cause delays. When delays occur, project teams work to resume operations as quickly and safely as possible.
