Sweet Surprises in Store During Leon County’s Fourth Annual Community Gingerbread House Competition

Leon County Government invites residents of all ages to put their design skills to the test in the upcoming fourth annual Community Gingerbread House Competition at the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library System. Registration for the competition opens on Saturday, November 19 at 8 a.m. Registration closes on November 30.
Creations must be dropped off for the competition on Saturday, December 3 between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the downtown Main Library, 200 West Park Avenue.
Then, on Saturday, December 3 from 1-3 p.m. at the downtown Main Library, the public is invited to attend a family-friendly event featuring hands-on STEAM activities for youth and an opportunity to browse the sweet submissions. Competition winners will be announced during a ceremony at 2:30 p.m. One winner and honorable mention from each age category (child, teen, and adult) will be selected and receive a gift card prize.
