Plan Your Next Trip with County Tourism’s New Website and Mobile App
Yesterday, Leon County Government launched a new mobile-first Visit Tallahassee website, as well as debuted an integrated destination mobile application. With more than 70 percent of visitors accessing VisitTallahassee.com through their smartphones or tablets, the new website was designed with mobile users in mind.
The website features:
- Timely, relevant and rich media content.
- Plan Your Trip mapping application allowing users to create custom itineraries.
- Full integration with all Tourism social media outlets so visitors and residents alike can share their stories.
- Optimized download speeds for on-the-go visitors.
- Easy touch screen navigation with concise text, bold images and calendar search.
- Strong images and video to promote the destination and enhance the user experience.
All throughout the new website, visitors will see Leon County Tourism's creative campaign, Pretty.Unexpected. Seen through captivating images and immersive video, the Pretty.Unexpected. campaign entices visitors from around the globe to explore what Tallahassee-Leon County has to offer, from outdoor adventure to the performing arts and so much more.
To complement the website, Leon County also launched its new "Visit Tallahassee!" mobile app for iPhone and Android users, which will allow anyone to view and save listings of places to stay, events to attend, sites to visit and where to eat and drink. Through the Plan a Trip functionality on the app, users can make custom itineraries based on their own unique interests, which can be shared with others.
