Pet-ucation Event Teaches Pet Owners New Tricks

Leon County Animal Control and Community Partners Offer Free Resources and Knowledge

WHAT:    Pet-ucation Community Event

WHEN:    Sunday, April 3, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.        

WHERE:  Leon County Woodville Community Center, 8000 Old Woodville Road

Leon County will connect pet owners with community resources at the Pet-ucation event on Sunday, April 3. Citizens will be able to learn from and interact with local animal organizations. From noon until 4 pm at the Woodville Community Center, 8000 Old Woodville Road, local organizations will be available to answer questions and offer solutions on a variety of topics ranging from how to handle stray animals to house-training puppies.

Attendees will have the opportunity to receive free pet identification tags, collars, and spay/neuter vouchers. Small bags of dog food will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Leon County Animal Control has partnered with several local organizations, such as Animal Shelter Foundation, Be the Solution, It’s Meow or Never, Petagon, South Monroe Animal Hospital, Southwood Animal Hospital, Pet Supermarket and the Leon County Humane Society.
