Volunteers are asked to register online at LeonCountyFL.gov/DayofService, and gather at Crossway Baptist Church, 405 Crossway Road, at 8 a.m. Leon County employees, community partners, and citizen volunteers will unite in service and volunteerism in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 lives lost during the attacks on September 11, 2001.
Since 2011, Leon County Government has held the 9/11 Day of Remembrance and Service to honor victims, survivors, and others who rose in service in response to the attacks. Annual volunteer events are hosted nationwide on September 11 to give back to the community in tribute to the victims and heroes of 9/11.
