Leon County’s Allison Hall Named Paramedic of the Year
Wins 2016 Excellence in EMS Awards
Earlier this month, Leon County paramedic Lieutenant Allison Hall was named the 2016 State of Florida Paramedic of the Year by the Florida Department of Health. The recognition is one of the most prestigious offered as part of the 2016 Excellence in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Awards program.
The ceremony took place in Orlando at the State Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council meeting and the Emergency Medicine Learning and Resource Center (EMLRC’s) 42nd Annual Clinical Conference on Emergency Medical Services (ClinCon).
“Leon County EMS continues to exceed all benchmarks on local and national levels because we have truly remarkable EMS staff like Allison who have dedicated their lives to helping others,” said Leon County Administrator Vincent S. Long. “We are proud of Lt. Hall’s accomplishment of being the best paramedic in Florida.”
Other EMS staff members praised Lt. Hall for being an outstanding, hardworking team member who demonstrates noteworthy qualities in multiple areas. Lt. Hall rose above other nominees because of her excellence in areas such as quality assurance/improvement, patient care, medical control, disaster preparedness and public training, as well as her drive to go “above and beyond the call of duty”.
“Allison’s achievement is emblematic of the high performing team of paramedics, EMTs, and administrative staff we have here everyday,” said Leon County EMS Chief Chad Abrams. “It is encouraging to see her passion and commitment recognized and celebrated by her peers statewide.”
