Are you interested in outdoor adventures? Come to the third annual Lifelong Outdoor Pursuits Expo on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Goodwood Museum and Gardens Carriage House, 1600 Miccosukee Road.
Attendees may visit an array of outdoor-oriented exhibitors to discover new adventures, destinations and the latest in outdoor gear. Admission is complimentary and includes access to Goodwood (additional fee for main house tours). Lunch is available for the first 125 attendees at $10 per plate.
Lifelong Outdoor Pursuits, a popular program of the Tallahassee Senior Center and Foundation, features exciting adventures, with a variety of educational workshops, hands-on demonstrations and field trips to beautiful destinations, held on a monthly basis. This past year, participants enjoyed hiking, kayaking, camping, geocaching, golfing, tubing and fishing workshops/adventures, in addition to excursions to rivers, springs, caverns and trails. The Lifelong Outdoor Pursuits program is offered by the Tallahassee Senior Center and Foundation and sponsored in part by Leon County Government, which also funds senior programs at six county-owned community centers.
