Leon County Wins Six State and National Awards for Public Relations Excellence
Leon County Government has been honored with six state and national awards for excellence in public relations from the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA), City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA), and the National Association of County Information Officers (NACIO).
“These award-winning projects reflect Leon County's commitment to deliver timely, relevant, and engaging communications for all the citizens we serve,” said Leon County Commission Chairman Christian Caban. “The communication efforts of our County continue to set a high standard and exceed expectations, reaching citizens in innovative and impactful ways to keep them informed and connected.”
The FPRA Golden Image Awards competition is conducted annually to recognize outstanding public relations programs in Florida. The 3CMA Savvy Awards represent the best in government communications and highlight programs that have effectively engaged their constituents and elevated the profession. NACIO's Awards of Excellence program honors the innovative, creative, and outstanding work of county government communicators and county communications departments throughout the nation.
Leon County received two FPRA Golden Image Awards of Distinction, a 3CMA Silver Circle Award, and three NACIO Awards of Excellence for the following projects:

Leon County Community and Media Relations (CMR) prepares and disseminates Leon County news and information via news releases, notices, and other publications, and manages news conferences and events.
