With a continued focus on promoting homeownership, Leon County Government invites the community to Unlocking the Door to Homeownership on Saturday, October 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Leon County Division of Housing Services, 615 E. Paul Russell Road. Hosted in partnership with the Tallahassee Lenders' Consortium and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, this educational event will focus on resources available to assist individuals and families in preparing for and going through the process of buying their first home.

During the event, attendees will learn about the steps to buying a home, financing options available for all income levels, how to qualify for a mortgage, and a variety of local and federal programs for first-time homebuyers. This event will empower residents with information to overcome the barriers they may face to achieve their homeownership goals.
