Leon County Offers Savings On Prescription, Dental and Health Costs
National program provides valuable discounts available to County citizens

Leon County, in partnership with the National Association of Counties, launches the Live Healthy Discounts Program to help save County residents money on prescriptions, dental care and other health services.

"Programs like these are a win-win for everyone in Leon County," said NACo President and Leon County Commissioner Bryan Desloge. "Through a partnership with the National Association of Counties, we are able to leverage national-level purchasing power at the local level. Since NACo began offering these programs in 2004, they have generated more than $600 million in savings to residents at no additional cost to counties."

Through the NACo Live Healthy Discounts Program residents can save an average of 24% off the retail price of prescription medicine and save 15% to 50% on the cost of dental and health check-ups, cleanings, fillings, vision services, hearing aids, diabetes supplies, prepaid lab and more. NACo Live Healthy Discounts are available to all residents, those with and without health insurance as an added way to save on the cost of health care. There are no annual limits placed on use, no forms to fill out, no waiting periods, no age or income requirements and no medical condition restrictions. Savings may vary by drug and by pharmacy. The Live Healthy Discounts Program is NOT health insurance.

“At the County, we know the cost for routine health care and prescriptions continues to rise, so we are working with partners to help,” said Leon County Administrator Vincent S. Long. “These programs will provide tangible savings to anyone seeking prescriptions, dental and routine health care services.”

The Live Healthy Discounts offered by Leon County are as follows:
