Leon County Network Restored, Services Returning to Normal
The County's network has been restored at the Augustus D. Aikens, Jr. Leon County Courthouse (301 S. Monroe St.) and across County facilities following overnight repairs. Text-to-911 is back in service, and County phone service has largely been restored.
"I want to thank the County teams and partners who worked overnight to restore the network and get services back up and running," said Leon County Commission Chairman Christian Caban. "With the network restored at the Courthouse and across County facilities, County services are returning to normal. We are grateful to everyone who responded to this incident with urgency and care."
The network was damaged by an underground electrical fire near the Courthouse early Tuesday, Oct. 6. Some users may notice minor issues as systems return to normal over the day.
"Our Office of Information and Technology worked through the night with City of Tallahassee Utilities to reroute and restore the County's network," said Leon County Administrator Vincent S. Long. "Our teams are checking systems today, and we are working closely with the courts and our constitutional officers as they return to normal operations. I appreciate the dedication of our employees and partners, and the public's patience throughout this incident."
