Created Equal: Black Women & the Fight for Equality

Thursday, March 23, at 5:30 p.m.
The Moon, 1105 E Lafayette Street

Join Leon County and The Village Square for a conversation that examines Black women’s experience in America and the struggles they face in the areas of health, economy, community, and education. Throughout American history, Black women have been expected to serve and support others. Now, what should be done to support Black women?

This year’s Created Equal program will address such questions and take an in-depth look at the reality of being a Black woman in America and the struggles they face in various areas of society that have been ongoing for centuries. A panel discussion, featuring academic experts, industry professionals, and community members, will encourage attendees to put themselves in someone else’s shoes and understand the experiences of Black women.

Register for this free event at LeonCountyFL.gov/CreatedEqual.
