Fertilize with Care for Plants and the Environment

Fertilizers can be an important tool to maintain a beautiful, healthy landscape. Unfortunately, inappropriate use of fertilizers can lead to degradation of local water bodies. Too much fertilizer can also reduce the health of plants, either through fertilizer burn or additional pests and diseases. As the weather warms up, homeowners and lawn care professionals should follow fertilizer best practices to save money, plants, and the environment.

Learn more about fertilizer application and best practices at LeonCountyFL.gov/Fertilizer.
