Leon County Hosts “Countdown at Cascades” New Year’s Eve Celebration at
the Adderley Amphitheater at Cascades Park
Leon County Government proudly announces “Countdown at Cascades,” a free, family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration at the Adderley Amphitheater at Cascades Park on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Presented by Tallahassee Ford, with support from VyStar Credit Union, the event will feature live performances by Lili Forbes and the Pharaohs of Funk and Eddie 9V, along with fireworks shows at 7:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. The celebration will also mark the final countdown to the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Tallahassee 2026, the Olympics of the sport of cross country, set for Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Apalachee Regional Park.
Lili Forbes and the Pharaohs of Funk return to kick off the celebration at 6 p.m. Ms. Forbes and her 15-piece band blend funk and Caribbean influences that, along with her vibrant stage presence and powerful vocals, bring an infectious energy that transforms every performance into a lively, family-friendly experience. Her band’s dynamic arrangements create a rich, engaging sound that captivates audiences from start to finish.
At 7:45 p.m., the first of two fireworks displays will brighten the night sky, setting the stage for Eddie 9V at 8:30 p.m. Eddie 9V will showcase his signature mix of Southern soul, blues, rock and funk. The Georgia-born guitarist and songwriter has earned international acclaim for his electrifying performances and sharp songwriting. His high-energy set will provide the perfect soundtrack to welcome 2026. The second fireworks display at 9:45 p.m. will bring the night to a close with a sparkling sky above Cascades Park.
In addition to the live music, food trucks and concessions will be available on-site, ensuring attendees can enjoy a variety of local flavors while they celebrate.
