Leon County Holiday Closures and Service Changes for the Fourth of July Holiday


The following holiday closures and service changes will occur in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.

Closed Tuesday, July 4
• Leon County offices
• Leon County libraries (main and all branches)
• Leon County community centers
• Leon County Animal Control
• Leon County Solid Waste Management Facility

Remain Open for the Holiday
• Leon County Parks and Recreation facilities (parks and boat landings)

The LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library System’s main library will close at 9 p.m. on Monday, July 3. The Leon County Main Library (downtown) and branch libraries will reopen at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5.

In the event of an animal-related emergency, service is available by calling the Consolidated Dispatch Agency at (850) 606-5800. Leon County Animal Control encourages residents to only use this service in cases of dangerous or aggressive dogs, sick or injured domestic animals, animal cruelty or animal bites. Injured wildlife calls will be forwarded to the St. Francis Wildlife Association at (850) 627-4151.
