Leon County, CSC Leon, CHS to Unveil Family Resource Center at Fort Braden Community Center

Leon County Government, in collaboration with the Children’s Services Council of Leon County (CSC Leon) and Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS), will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the Fort Braden Family Resource Center (FRC). This new center will serve as a trusted neighborhood hub, providing essential family support services directly to families in the Fort Braden community.
Building on the success of the Cross Creek FRC, the Fort Braden FRC further advances the County, CSC Leon and CHS’s commitment to strengthening families by providing accessible, family-driven services that foster resilience, well-being, and success. FRCs are not just service locations—they are spaces for empowerment, learning, and connection. Through partnerships with local organizations, the Fort Braden FRC will offer a comprehensive range of supports to families in the Fort Braden community, including parenting and child development programs, job training and access to workforce development, mental health and counseling services, financial literacy classes, and access to essential needs through coordinated referrals and community connections.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, families and attendees will be invited to enjoy a family fun day with bounce houses, food vendors, arts and crafts, nonprofits, and other community partners and activities.
